WHAT IS THE BURN?
The Burn is a corporate prayer and worship gathering hosted in various churches and college campuses throughout Fort Wayne, Indiana. To put it simply, we describe the Burn as, “A Meeting with God.” Our goal is to see the Church come together and pray - not for our personal interests alone, but to see awakening strike our city!
“Awakening is the outcome of encountering Jesus, through whom the love of God the Father is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Awakening both results from and leads to deep wholeness in people, renewal of the church, evangelization of a generation, and transformation of society.”

The Origin of the Burn
We began hosting the Burn in 2020. At the time we alternated between two churches on the East and West sides of town, and saw God unite worship leaders, pastors, and intercessors across the city in such a unique way. In 2022, we felt the Lord invite us to pause these gatherings as we followed Him into new areas. Then, in 2024 we the Lord impressed a new burden for prayer and unity across our city. In 2025 we made the decision to begin the Burns again, and God has been so faithful to lead us. Since this time, over a dozen different church leaders have come together to pray for our city, hundreds of young adults have been impacted, and we are hungry to see the Spirit of God radically impact Fort Wayne!
Where We’re Heading
As step into a new season of the Burns, we are prioritizing simplicity. Our volunteers come from diverse church backgrounds and varying degrees of experience, we move across various locations each month, but we are after one thing - JESUS! As we gather, we desire to cultivate a space where the Spirit of God is welcome, and He becomes the host of our services. Furthermore, we want to see the Burn become an old fashioned prayer meeting, where everyone is praying and we encounter God together!
